25 days of christmas update

Hey all I just wanted to give a 25 days of x-mas update. It went really well last year and I'm excited to do it again this year. Hopefully I'll be able to post more consistently than during '13 days of halloween.' The delay was mainly because those few weeks were smack in the middle of a lot of tests/long work days. Point being that I've got some cool plans starting December 1st.

My thoughts; The Hunger Games book

So I bought the book "The Hunger Games" yesterday because 1) A friend said I'd like it 2) they're making a movie of it so I thought 'what's the harm.' Sooo....yeah I finished it within a 36 hour period.

                                                                  (the movie's main poster)

And holy crap, it was AMAZING!! Now I literally can't wait till March 23rd for the movie to come out. First off the book is really well written in that it keeps you engaged the whole time. I've literally never read a book that caused me to actually have extemely visible reactions. there were many "Noooo!!" and "that's super sad and/or amazing" moments. You get emotionally involved with the main character and especially with some of the other lovable supporting characters. Honestly the details of the  premise are kind of hard to explain, but I promise it's awesome. So the moral of the story: it's an amazing book and you should read it. I'm planning on getting the 2nd and 3rd books in the series and finishing them before the end of winter break.

(Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen)

Now on to the movie. I'm really looking forward to it, because apparently it has a lot of the action/fighting that's in the book. And if that ends up being true, then it's gonna be a great movie. Plus it stars Jennifer Lawrence who we all know as Mystique from 'X-men: first class' and Josh Hutcherson who some may remember as the young son in  'RV' which came out a little while back. Plus I like how no huge name stars are in it. Maybe it's just me, but I think movies like this are better without an extremely familiar face to steal the screen time.

hilarious animal caption pictures

In the world of completely useless, stupid, juvenile, waste of time pictures these are the best. But they satisfy my childish sense of humor and are stupidly hilarious. ENJOY :)

This one is literally my favorite of all time probably because of the voice you can only imagine this guy would have if he could actually talk

this one reminds me of Mortal Combat

This is the most recent one I found. It's hilarious

Dog poem: where do pets come from?

Check out this cute poem about dogs that I found

And Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me everyday. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me." And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will know I love you, even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish and childish and unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself."

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "But Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and all the good names are taken and I cannot think of a name for this new animal." And God said, "No problem! Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."

And Dog lived with Adam and was a companion to him and loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail. After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts and preens like a peacock and he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught him that he is loved, but no one has taught him humility." And the Lord said, "No problem! I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever and who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not always worthy of adoration."

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam. And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was pleased. And Adam was greatly improved. And Cat did not care one way or the other reminded that he was not the supreme being. And Adam learned humility. . And God was pleased. And Adam was greatly improved. And Cat did not care one way or the other.

prank video

One of my favorite subscriptions I have on youtube is this couple Nikki and John. They prank each other all the time and this has to be my favorite prank they've done so far. I think the simple pranks are the best and this is the epitome of simple and hilarious. Either that or Nikki's commentary after John scares her.

rick warren starbucks quote

Remember a few years back when Starbucks had quotes on their cups for a while.....yeah me neither. I've never really been a Starbucks fan, but that's neither here nor there. The point being that a few months ago one of the pastors at The Crossing (the church I go to here in Columbia) showed this pic of a Rick Warren quote that was on a Starbucks cup.

It says: "you are not an accident. Your parents may not have planned you, but God did. He wanted you alive and created you for a purpose. Focusing on yourself will never reveal your purpose. You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense. Only in God do we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny.
-Dr. Rick Warren author of The Purpose-Driven Life."

I think a lot of people can resonate with the message. It's a pretty cool quote. And btw I've heard The Purpose Driven Life is a good book.
