random observation: have you ever noticed that when an event that involves any technology at all and everything goes smoothly nobody notices the techies (or av crew depending on place). But if a video isn't working or there's feedback than EVERYONE notices them. From personal experience there's nothing more annoying than a 800 people staring at you because someone on stage tripped over a cable and now their mike isn't working.
